Lalit Modi is no more with IPL

Lalit Modi has been relaxed from the post of President of BCC. Earlier, he was fired up from the place of Commissioner Indian premier league (IPL) and also from the chairman of cricket Champions League. Chirayu Amin is appointed as the commissioner at the place which was assigned the 46 years old Lalit Modi, the former IPL commissioner.

Mr. Modi is under trail for money laundering and to be relevant with corruption of appointing the new cricket clubs in Indian Premier League.

A bench comprising justices J M Panchal and Gyan Sudha Misra said since the copy of the July 15 judgement of the high court was not available, it cannot pass any order and posted the matter for hearing on October 20.

Airtel CLT20: Timetables and Schedules 2010



Despite of two teams absent, the second season of Airtel Champions League will feature 23 Twenty20 formatted matches that is same as 2009 in number. The tournament fixture has been selected by the executive governing of CL Twenty20 the meeting was held in Singapore on 28 June. The inaugural ceremony will be taken place in Johannesburg. According to the local time the opening cricket encounter will be held between Sachin’s Mumbai Indians and Highveld Lions at 1730 of local time.

The most important thing is most of the match has been scheduled at 1330 or 1730. That is why, Indian Television viewers will get extra facilities to watch the matches live. According to the location of earth or the tournament time has been featured from afternoon to midnight. So, lots of cricket fans could participate to watch the matches after their household or office working schedule.

Like the opening match, the two semifinals and the final mach’s timetable has been featured at 1730. South Africa is the eastern country of GMT. According to the location and distance the time is earlier 2 hours where India is 5.30 hours. So, Indian Cricket fans will watch the match live from 5pm which match will start at 1330 in South Africa. The second match will be held at 9pm in India.

ESPN will broadcast Caribbean T20 cricket from July 22

The Champions of Caribbean T20 tournament will take part in the Airtel Champions’ League in India as well. The Trinidad & Tobago was played last year. Which team will be qualified for this season in September? The tournament will be started from 22 July. The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has tied with the ESPN UK for a partnership of exclusive broadcast rights for the inaugural Caribbean T20 Tournament. From now, the tournament will be the part of the annual WICB calendar.

Eight Caribbean teams will be taken part in two groups and four teams will participate in each group. The first group round match will be from 22 to 25 July and second round will be commenced on from 28 to 31 July. As, it is the inaugural t20 tournament in home cricket, it suppose to add more excitement in among the cricket fans with participation of the ESPN.

Royal Challengers Bangalore v Cape Cobras CLT20 and opening ceremony

After the lightning evening of the inaugural Airtel Champions League Twenty20’s eye-catching opening ceremony the first match will be kick-off at 20:00 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore between Royal Challengers Bangalore and South African club Cape Cobras. The inaugural IPL opening ceremony was arranged in the same ground. Award Winning legends Chaka Khan and Shaggy all set to perform during the ceremony and British pop star Jamelia will sing super hit song Superstar.

Royal Challengers Bangalore is the runners-up of the IPL season 2. By beating Chennai Super Kings, it qualified for the final but Deccan Chargers stopped them to hold the title. Hard hitter Ross Taylor who has 1255 runs in his bag and high strike rate similary Dale Steyn has 44 wickets. Anil Kumble will lead RCB instead of Raul Dravid.

Cape Cobras is one of the team from South Africa. It is the title holder of Pro20 Series in 2008-09 season. The team is columned with some star players of South Africa such as Herschelle Gibbs and JP Duminy. Paul Adams is familiar for his unique bowling style. Although he will not attend this time in CLT20 this year, he is one of the noted players of the team.
