World twenty20 held on April-May 2010 West Indies

Third season of twenty20 ICC cricket championship will be held on West Indies in 2010 just after less than one year of time period that was scheduled to be held after every two years. Now, question is why it is going to hold in a break schedule? Well, the main reason was acting behind the decision is; the limited over ICC Champions Trophy, a eight nation tournament that was schedule similar after two years and the host country was selected as Pakistan in 2009 on September. But, due to terrorist attack on Sri Lankan cricket team and security concern it has been shifted to South Africa and West Indies has been selected as a twenty20 venue in stead of the biennial Champions Trophy in 2010.

"With the Champions Trophy set to be hosted by Pakistan in 2009 after cancellation this year, we decided to have a Twenty20 World Championship instead in April-May 2010 in West Indies," Lorgat told reporters here.

"Although World Twenty20 is to be held every second year, we decided to hold it on the trot to set the calendar right," he added.

"We are working with the West Indies Cricket Board to finalise the venues."

The second season of Twenty20 cricket world championships already been finished that was held in England and the ICC Champions Trophy (50 overs) formatted is going to start from next month. The two international cricket tournaments are in the same year and one year gap is not good for cricket fans. To keep the cricket audiences fresh the authority has planned to host twenty20 cricket champ on 2010 again April-May 2010. Fifty over formatted world cup cricket 2007 was held in West Indies when Australian achieved and three consecutive wins. Just after a few days of the season 3 of Indian Premier League (the most popular formatted T20 formatted club cricket tournament) all the players will set to fly in WI.

Twenty20 Cricket and Sir Richard Hadlee

Cricket Legend Sir Richard Hadlee who is considered as one of the greatest all-rounders, strongly recommended about the raise of organized shot over cricket most. I agree with him in one point that the cricket will have to pass through a tough schedule. So they will be failed to add more concentration to the ICC Scheduled cricket mostly Test and ODI. But most interesting thing is that Sir Richard Hadlee has signed with American Premier League which is planned to a twenty20 formatted cricket match that will be played with among the six teams. His comment on Twenty20 cricket makes me confuse.

No doubt that, Twenty20 cricket is most attracting events in cricket. But to make fascination and to make if profitable among the sponsors, is there any way doing it? Seeing the twenty20 formatted cricket like Indian Premier League, the cricket playing countries England, Australia is planning to organize this kinds of match. Even they have organized Twenty20 Premier League championship too.

More team will be from 2011 in DLF IPL T20

It published in internet media that DLF IPL T20 will add more teams. That means it will be 10 or 12 or more. The 3rd season of the most popular Indian cricket tournament will be held on March 2010. But this year only eight teams will be take part and in 2011, eight more teams will be compete from the 4th season.

Vcricket posted:

"There will be 94 games in all with each franchise playing 18 preliminary matches, instead of 14 games as in the past," PTI quoted Modi as saying in reference to the 2011 edition. "But the window of 45 days would remain more or less the same."

No doubt that short over cricket match is one of the most popular events in the cricket but to sustain its rush it would keep the eyes for test or two three days matches too.

Englishmen doubt to attend in IPL T20 again

English players’ join to the BCCI promoted Twenty20 formatted Indian Cricket League will be doubt in future. In the inaugural ceremony of the IPL T20 no players was attended but in second season, it was the number of four who took part but back to home earlier to attend domestic cricket and international crick too. In the last month, in ICC’s future tour plans meeting, the board member did not create any windows for IPL, despite of IPL authority’s request. Anyway, it may clear again that the English player will be taken part in Indian premier League cricket tournament just showoff even they will not get to attend unite 2016 according to FTP 2012-2020.

A total of 97 Test matches and 159 one-day internationals are planned over the eight-year period for England with home and away Ashes series during 2013-14 as well as annual scheduling of Tests in May, despite the fact they are proving increasingly hard to sell to the public and make it difficult for English players to appear in the lucrative IPL.

From the quote, it is clear to understand that Indian attention on to make cricket popular for very short time instead to sustain the cricket image for a long time. That may the main cause to make a limited tour for Test cricket. I am not sure how the BCCI is thinking because they are more talent even the most powerful member of ICC.
