Airtel CLT20: Timetables and Schedules 2010



Despite of two teams absent, the second season of Airtel Champions League will feature 23 Twenty20 formatted matches that is same as 2009 in number. The tournament fixture has been selected by the executive governing of CL Twenty20 the meeting was held in Singapore on 28 June. The inaugural ceremony will be taken place in Johannesburg. According to the local time the opening cricket encounter will be held between Sachin’s Mumbai Indians and Highveld Lions at 1730 of local time.

The most important thing is most of the match has been scheduled at 1330 or 1730. That is why, Indian Television viewers will get extra facilities to watch the matches live. According to the location of earth or the tournament time has been featured from afternoon to midnight. So, lots of cricket fans could participate to watch the matches after their household or office working schedule.

Like the opening match, the two semifinals and the final mach’s timetable has been featured at 1730. South Africa is the eastern country of GMT. According to the location and distance the time is earlier 2 hours where India is 5.30 hours. So, Indian Cricket fans will watch the match live from 5pm which match will start at 1330 in South Africa. The second match will be held at 9pm in India.
  

Fixture of Airtel T20 Champions League 2010

The Airtel T20 Champions League will be held with some new formation and in the new venue this year. First of all, the South African nation will celebrate another most anticipated event after the FIFA world Cup 2010 in September. 10 cricket clubs will participate in the tournament by dividing in two groups. The inaugural match will be at Wanderers, Johannesburg in 10 September.

The ten teams have been selected from the 6 countries. Among them thee teams from Indian Premier League, Two from Australia and South Africa, champions form Sri Lanka, New Zealand and West Indies. Though the champions and runner-up from English Cricket League took part but this year they will not send any team. In the group A; The IPL champions will have to move against Central Districts, Victoria, Warriors, and Wayamba. On the other hand Tendulkar’s Mumbai Indians will show its movement against, Lions, Royal Challengers Bangalore, South Australia and the West Indies team.

The opening match and final will be held at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg and the semifinals on 24th and 25th first match will be taken place in Durban and Centurion. The final match will be held at Wanderers 26th September.
