Highest prize money for Twenty20 Champions League winners

A multi million dollar Twenty20 Champions League will be one of attractive events in cricket era that schedule to be kicked off at Bangalore on October 8. Twelve cricket clubs from different counties will be taken part in the tournaments. The tournament formant will be Round-Robin and Knockout system. The winner of the tournament will be shared for $2.5 million and the runner-up $1.3 million. The two losing semi-finalists will get $500,000 each. May be, this is the only cricket tournament that can be compare with Indian premier league for money. The first edition of the tournament was abandoned for the Mumbai attack.

Everyone knows about the IPL twenty20 formatted cricket and while cricket players where owned by the franchise with million dollars. For the first season, Indian twenty20 world cup winning captain MS Dhoni was the highest bidder of 1.5 million. Before the second edition two England players Flintoff and Petersen touch the recorder.
