With the match of host South Africa and the Twenty20 Champions India, the second stage of short formatted cricket tournament’s super eight round will be come to an end. India already has confirmed, one match left, that they are coming back to home. As well as host South Africa has confirmed their potions in semi-final. That will be held in 18 and 19 June. Although it is not sure, which team will be played each other? But it is depending on today’s matches. If Sri Lanka lost to New Zealand then it would be tough for Pakistan to play in the semi final.
Pakistan would beck home to prepare for the next tour, if Sri Lanka beat to New Zealand. So, this is very important for the Runner-up. Despite two matches win it could happen for Sri Lanka team, if they defeated to Black Caps. Another South Asian country would get return ticket. Sri Lanka, must wins can confirm two Asian teams for the Semi finals.
In the year 2007 World Twenty20, Sri Kanaka took on New Zealand in the group stage match. In that match SL won by 7 wickets and qualified for the super eight becoming group champion. But in this stage SL-NZ match is taking place in the super eight. For New Zealand, it is must win match. As they are ahead in NRR, so it could qualified them for the Semi-finals. For that time we have to wait.
